Kaleen Celebrates 15 Years In America With Special Events
| 2012 is turning out to be a big year for Kaleen. Though the
parent company was founded in India in 1964, 2012 marks the 15th
year Kaleen is in America as well.
On Tuesday, January 10, 2012, Kaleen had the Ribbon Cutting
for its new facility in Dalton, GA. The state-of-the-art facility
covers more 125,000 square feet and will house the North America
management team, along with customer service and distribution.
The Ribbon Cutting ceremony also signaled the start of the
Kaleen Sales Summit 2011 in which the entire Kaleen sales team
came together for the 2011 awards dinner and to kick off the 2012
sales year. Grey Christie was awarded the 2011 Sales Associate of
the Year, Bill Mitcheson was the recipient of the Special
Products Award and Darryl Ernst earned the prestigious
Kaleen was also selected as a Rug Center winner of the
AmericasMart Visual Display Awards presented during the Atlanta
International Rug Market, held in Atlanta from January 12 to 15,
2012. The Visual Display Awards recognizes excellence in visual
presentation, use of space, product placement and overall
Judging was conducted and winners selected by independent
design and retail visual merchandising experts. Only four
showrooms from a total of 33 permanent showrooms and exhibitors
in 18 temporary product collections, plus Best of Show
Temporaries, received AmericasMarts Visual Display Award.

Toni Shalhoup of Daniels Homeport in Kitty Hawk, NC, was the
winner of the Kaleen iPad promotion during the Atlanta
International Rug Market. The iPad promotion was part of an
exciting, fun market week during which Kaleen celebrated its 15th
year in America with a series of special events, including a
Mariachi band, and highlighted with the launch of nine new
