Calling All Anglophiles!

The England Love Hook Pillow, made with 100 percent wool and measuring 9 by 9 inches, incorporates a heart-shaped Union Jack motif. PHI, 800-872-6888, pkhc.com

From the Royal Wedding of William and Katherine in 2011, to this year’s celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s 60th Year Jubilee and the excitement surrounding the London-hosted 2012 Summer Olympics, there has been much to love about the U.K. Home textile suppliers—Designers Guild, Softline Home Fashions, Nourison, C&F Enterprises, Peking Handicraft and Caldeira, to name a few—have sought to help satiate the love of all things British by offering American Anglophiles decorative pillows in a range of U.K.-themed motifs, from Union Jacks and crowns to depictions of London landmarks. Shown above and below are a couple of options debuting during N.Y. Home Textiles Market. Pantone, provider of professional color standards for the design industries, has also responded to U.K. fever with a limited edition color guide in Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee year to mark her fashion-forward color statements. Created in collaboration with advertising agency, Leo Burnett, the guide launched in June 2012. Her Majesty has consistently appeared in color-coordinated ensembles, such as the Primrose Yellow she wore at Will and Kate’s wedding and the Lilac Snow she wore in 2011 during a visit to Northumberland. The bespoke, numbered color guide includes 60 images of the Queen and features Pantone® Color references, along with the date and location of the Queen’s outfit choice. Only 60 copies of the guide have been printed. For information on color trends, visit sa.pantone.co.uk; for details on the creative process that inspired this guide, visit leoburnett.co.uk/.
