Winter 2014 NY NOW Adds Extra Day & Venue

NY NOW®, the Market for Home & Lifestyle, has added an extra day to the Winter 2014 event, and will expand its locations to include the Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94. With the addition of one weekday to the winter schedule, the six-day market will run from Saturday, Feb. 1 through Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 (rather than through Wednesday, Feb. 5, as previously announced).

Additionally, hotel reservations will open early, due to the Winter Market’s overlap with the 2014 Super Bowl XLVII, which will be held Feb. 2, 2014, in East Rutherford, NJ. NY NOW owner and manager, GLM researched New York City’s capacity and confirmed that it can easily handle the additional traffic in terms of flights, restaurants and crowds. Attendee surveys conducted by GLM indicate that while the overlap with the Super Bowl would not preclude retailers from attending the Winter Market, an additional weekday would minimize concerns about Super Bowl weekend attendance.

Travel Planners, Inc., the official hotel agency for NY NOW, will accept reservations for Winter 2014 prior to the opening of the Summer 2013 Market. NY NOW’s hotel block offers the lowest rates for a vast selection of hotels, and while some rates may be higher than usual over the weekend, NY NOW rates will be considerably lower than what an independent search currently will yield. Market participants can pre-register online at http://tphousing.com/ec.html to receive email notification when winter 2014 reservations can be made.

For more information and registration, contact GLM’s Customer Service Department at 800-272-7469, or 212-204-1060, or visit nynow.com.
