SURFACES offers a
range of flooring options to
Las Vegas Market attendees
SURFACES 2010, sponsored by the World Floor Covering Association, and owned and produced by Hanley Wood, LLC, is a trade event that focuses on flooring, with exhibitors displaying new options in carpet, rugs, laminates, hardwood, tile, stone, marble and specialty flooring. Held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, from Feb. 1 to 4, SURFACES hopes to broaden its attendee base through a new strategic partnership with the World Market Center.
The Las Vegas Market at World Market Center runs Feb. 1 to 5. That international home furnishings showcase allows attendees access to new products from more than 1,500 manufacturers.
The partnership between the two events has tangible benefits for attendees, including acceptance of registration credentials from each show at both events, transportation vouchers to facilitate traveling between the event locations and discounts on the educational seminars offered at both events.

Las Vegas Market attendees, for example, will receive a 25 percent discount on SURFACES’ Designer Day activities. Designer Day on Wednesday, Feb. 3, includes a behind-the-scenes tour of Encore, the new sister property of Wynn Las Vegas; a Speed Trending tour of the show floor; and a luncheon featuring a presentation by Kym Myles of HGTV’s “Myles of Style.”
“We feel by joining forces that we are providing our attendees with the opportunity to experience two shows in one week, saving on expenses, which is essential right now,” says Dana Teague, director, SURFACES.
The partnership with World Market Center will continue in 2011, when SURFACES will take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. In addition, StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas will co-locate with SURFACES, providing buyers with a broader selection of natural stone and other surface materials and a more comprehensive education and networking experience.
