As this market niche of home fragrances and linen care products flourishes, purveyors of this specialty are designing distinctive scents and looks, and above all else evoking a mood. In the sector of home perfumes, piquant and provocative blends of rhubarb, passion fruit, and jasmine in Seda France’s Japanese Quince reed diffusers are raising the level of fragrant exoticism. Natural wooden reed sticks sit in a hand-blown glass bowl filled with fragrance oil to release the aroma in a subtle way. Ginger Pomelo, Lavender Pine and Citrus Mint Ylang Ylang are pleasure-filled fragrances that carry Caldrea’s Linen Spray to the height of cleaning luxury. The fresh mist of these plant-derived oils adds a boost of clean scent to everyday sheets, towels and the most delicate house linens. Caldrea’s candles come in similar fragrances to complement the sprays and carry the scent throughout the home. Luxury care no doubt includes renewing and preserving precious fabrics. The Sweater Stone from The Laundress is built to renew the finishes of not only sweaters but also blankets and upholstery.
