What’s new at AmericasMart during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market

AmericasMart is all decked out with a plethora of new resources on view during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, Jan. 9 to 16, 2013, with temporaries from Jan. 11 to 15, 2013. Adding to the richness of what permanent showrooms have to offer are a wide range of special temporary collections at AmericasMart. Here are highlights:

  • The Home Accents/Home Furnishings/Fine Linens Collection is located in Building 1, Floor 7, enhancing the already extensive home décor lines carried throughout the buildings.
  • HD (High Design) Home is a juried showcase of design-led home décor temporary exhibitors presented in an elegant setting. The HD Home Preview Party takes place on Thurs., Jan. 10 from 2 to 6 p.m. in Building 1, Floor 1, Center Hall, during which drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
  • High Design LUXE is an extension of High Design that presents a diverse array of products from cotton and cashmere pajamas and robes to perfumes, home décor pieces and handbags. It is located in Building 2 West Wing, Floor 1 lobby.
  • The Made in America Collection presents gift and décor options using at least 70 percent component parts and materials produced within the U.S. It is located in an expanded area of Building 3, Floor 2. On Sat., Jan. 12 at 1 p.m., Joel Joseph, chairman of the Made in the USA Foundation, presents the “Promoting Your Store As Made In The USA” seminar to inform retailers about how to capitalize on the opportunities to connect with consumers seeking American-made products.
  • The Global Designs Collection presents culturally based designs from artisan-quality craft companies that are dedicated to corporate altruism and located around the world. It is stationed in Building 3, Floor 2.

Hand-Printed Pillows >> The 100 percent natural cotton pillows are hand-woven on bamboo looms by indigenous women weavers in India. Hand-printed using low-impact dyes, the pillows are machine washable and are offered with inserts made in the U.S. Sustainable Threads, 732-940-7487,
Comforting Cottage Style >> The 12- by 12-inch Flower Market Butterfly Reversible Pillow, designed by artist Lisa Audit, reflects cottage style in a color palette of brighter mid-tones. The fabric is textured with slubs, printed with the design and trimmed with merlot cording.
