Rug Art, Makers of Fine Custom Rugs, opened its new showroom on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the D&D Building in New York. Husband-and-wife team Vidal and Sigal Sasson, founders and owners of Rug Art, cater to the designer market with contemporary custom designs.
Sigal also announced that the company is launching a line of luxury pillows and throws. Made of fine materials, the line will also feature contemporary designs created by Sigal, but in expressions and patterns that differentiate it from the company’s rugs.

SURTEX Hits Javits In May
SURTEX 2010, the trade show for selling and licensing art and design, takes place May 16 to 18, 2010 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. Managed and produced by GLM LLC, SURTEX will be located adjacent to the National Stationery Show. It boasts a new marketing campaign highlighted by a new logo and “The Originals” tagline.

The remaining 20 percent consist of professionals who sell and license artwork.
