Suppliers reveal a cornucopia of vibrant new fabric and trim designs, some of which are on view June 2 to 5, 2013, at Showtime, High Point’s semi-annual fabric market produced by the International Textile Market Association

Regal Fabrics The Wahoo Twilight novelty fish pattern, offered in four tropical colors, is shown with coordinating Nemo solids in raspberry, berry, indigo, turquoise and cream.
Kravet Nomad Chic trimmings offer options for casual style décor. Inspired by nomadic cultures, the trimmings are made primarily with jute and linen fibers in designs that accentuate rope-like textures found in nature. The collection includes a wide range of styles in cords, brush fringe, pom pom fringe and border bandings.
Brimar High-performance trimmings in Sunbrella by Brimar are uv-proof and resist fading, mildew and stains in rain or sunshine outdoors. The trimmings enhance outdoor upholstery, cushions, draperies and accessories in residential and hospitality settings. Styles in the Cabana, Outdoor Solutions, Seasonal Elegance and Aquaterrra Collections are available in a wide variety of colors and styles.
Beacon Hill The Ikats + Suzanis line presents traditional motifs in a contemporary perspective using bold color and unique compositions. Varied constructions are included, from those created on classic jacquard looms and using traditional tie-dye techniques to fabrication using a hybrid digital and rotary warp printing press. Shown is Lakai Suzani in magenta red. ?
Samuel & Sons The Corinthia Collection, inspired by architectural ornamentations of the Italian Renaissance, emphasizes symmetry and proportion in embroidered linen and wool appliqué borders. The borders feature a dry linen ground on which laser-cut wool has been appliquéd. The edges are then bound with a tight satin stitch and designs are embellished with intricate embroidery. Corinthia features four designs: Acanthus (shown on the drapery), Greek Fret, Ogee, and Palladio. Acanthus 6-inch border is available in four colorways.

World Wide Fabric Namur is a cotton velvet fabric woven using the best fibers to produce rich colors and texture. It has softness and luster, making it excellent for draperies, upholstery, pillows and other home accessories. Shown in cool blue and green shades, the Namur Collection is available in 46 colors.

Expo International The Kalle beaded fringe trim features ornate elegant details in the 1.5-inch braid, from small decorative stitches to the confined braided cording, and is finished off with faceted beading. The colorway shown, lavendar/celadon, includes a mix of apple green, pecan brown and lavender.
D’Kei, Inc. The Meadow Collection of linen-and- cotton blend pillows adorned with D’Kei trimmings features the art of Jenny Lee Katz. The whimsical nature-inspired patterns, along with stripes, are offered in these colorways that match D’Kei’s Flirtatious Trim Collection: autumn (shown far left), desert (shown left), lilac, goldenrod, spring and hollyhock. Each pillow has a different, but coordinating, design on the front and back. The eco-friendly printing process uses water-based pigment inks. Made in the U.S., the zippered pillows have a hypo-allergenic poly fill.
Belagio Enterprises In the past, home décor trims were used largely for the most traditional looks. As the market has evolved, so have Belagio’s tapes and rhinestone trimmings. The company’s wide range of embellishments allows designers working on traditional, transitional and even the most contemporary decor quality options in adding visual interest through trimmings.
Robert Allen Robert Allen has partnered with DwellStudio to create its first outdoor line, Modern Bungalow, made with Sunbrella yarns for maximum wear and durability. The designs feature bold graphics of exotic foliage, modern geometrics and animal motifs, as well as solids and coordinates. Patterns shown (top to bottom): Jungalow, presenting a jungle scene featuring DwellStudio’s signature black-and-white tiger; Palmwood, that can work as a geometric or novelty animal print; and Finmark, a graphic collage of flora and fauna.
Softline Home Fashions Palisade presents jacquard with modern flair and intriguing texture. The Palisade Collection, which includes a coordinating stripe and tile motif as well, is offered in six colors as ready-made panels, fabric by the bolt and decorative pillows.
