H&M Home Launches In U.S. With Online Collection
H&M (Hennes & Mauritz AB) announces that H&M Home will be made available for the first time in the United States online in Fall 2013. H&M Home unites home design and fashion with evolving seasonal selections, including a wide range of interior textiles and décor, at affordable prices.
“The H&M Home category will deliver a wide variety of choices for the home at the best possible prices, similar to H&M’s fashion collections,” says Daniel Kulle, U.S. president for H&M. “Our introduction with H&M Home to the American market is exciting and we’re looking forward to offering these items season after season.”
Since 2009, H&M Home has merged fashion and interior design by offering a variety of household essentials and decorative touches fit for any style, in addition to a full collection for kids, and since 2012, an organic line for newborns. Each season includes a range of textiles, such as pillows, throws, comforters, bed linens (shown) and towels. The collection also includes decorative accents, such as glass vases, wooden trays and bowls, pottery and cake stands.
As of press time, there has been no announcement regarding the introduction of the Home Collection into stores in the U.S.
Hugo Boss Launches Fall/Winter 2013 Boss Home Classic Collection
Hugo Boss is expanding its Boss Home line with the launch of Boss Home Classic Collection for Fall/Winter 2013. The debut diffusion line emulates Boss Home Luxury’s sophisticated and luxurious aesthetic, but offers bedding at a more attainable price point and targets a wider demographic.
Boss Home Classic Collection features a unique mix of bold, modern designs that complement a casual, relaxed lifestyle, while offering the fine craftsmanship and design integrity valued in the luxury line. The line presents four bedding ensembles— Tie-Dye, Fleur Fil, Rhythmic Dots (shown in navy) and Prism—with coordinating sheets and quilted coverlets.
The Boss Home Classic Collection will be available in September at Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s and Dillard’s nationwide, as well as through their respective online sites.
Eastern Accents Adds Basic Bedding Line
After 20 years in the decorative bedding business, Eastern Accents announces its own American-made down and faux down product line. The new Basic Bedding category will be introduced under the de’ Medici division in Fall 2013. The five luxurious collections are offered in two options of pure white down: 650-fill-power Luxe Down or 720-fill-power Premier Down. Shown is the Celesta pillow and comforter.
For the sleeper who prefers manmade fibers, lofty Faux Down fill is available. The weight and level of support can be customized to fit individual and seasonal needs.
“I am so excited about the new Basic Bedding collections. They are handcrafted here in our Chicago factory, and they provide our customers with a great range of options,” says Ridvan Tatargil, president of Eastern Accents.
Las Vegas Market Sets 2014-2016 Schedule With Sunday-Thursday Shift
International Market Centers announces Winter and Summer Las Vegas Market dates through 2016, introducing a new Sunday-to-Thursday pattern to better serve retailers’ needs for a weekend day and to accommodate Friday travel plans. Markets in 2014 and 2015 also will overlap with other related industry events running in Las Vegas, offering synergistic buying and selling opportunities for buyers and suppliers.
Running Sunday through Thursday, the future market dates are: January 26 to 30, 2014; July 27 to 31, 2014; January 18 to 22, 2015; August 2 to 6, 2015; January 17 to 21, 2016; and July 31 to August 4, 2016.
In Winter 2014 and 2015, the Las Vegas Market will continue its existing, successful co-location with the Surfaces/StonExpo, which runs January 28 to 30, 2014, and January 21 to 23, 2015, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
A highlight of the Winter 2014 Las Vegas Market will be the second annual CEO Summit produced by International Market Centers and Eller Enterprises, which will take place January 29 to January 30, 2014.
