Room Changers

Revamping or updating the look of a room is eased with these new options in window treatments, most of which are on display during N.Y. Home Fashions Market, Sept. 23 to 26, 2013

Twill & Birch The Herringbone grommet panel is made with 100 percent polyester and 100 percent stainless steel grommets. Each panel measures 55 by 84 inches and is available in heather (shown), charcoal and chocolate.
Stylemaster The Lafayette metallic print grommet panel bears a retro-chic ogee design and is made with 100 percent polyester and 100 percent stainless steel grommets. Each panel measures 56 by 84 inches. Lafayette is offered in gold (shown), frost, sand, mango, rust, crimson, silver and teal. It coordinates with the Chelsea valance.
Softline Home Fashions Palisade is an opulent jacquard with a modern twist. The collection includes a coordinating stripe and tile motif called Palisade Wave and Tile. Each design is available in seven colors: designer grey (shown), white, ocean, pearl, pewter, latte and designer brown. The Palisade Collection is offered as ready-made panels, fabric by the bolt and decorative pillows.
Renaissance Home Fashion Thompson is a lined scalloped and corded valance adorned with a golden dot pattern. The facing fabric is made with 90 percent polyester and 10 percent rayon; the lining and cording, with 80 percent polyester and 20 percent cotton. Measuring 52 by 17 inches, it is available in harbor (shown), grass, java and wine.
M.Style The m.style window collection of 13 patterns launches online in October 2013. Packed in pairs, each panel is cut and sewn by hand to insure perfect matches. The panels are printed on luxury weight polyduck or linen texture cloth. The designs allow consumers to replicate more expensive looks depicted in shelter magazines at a fraction of the cost. Shown is Poppies in tangerine.
Belagio Enterprises, Inc. The Natural Trim line includes designs in cords, braids, tassels and brush fringes made with natural cotton, jute and linen with touches of wood.
Elrene The Lalique grommet-top window panels are made with 100 percent polyester. They are shown in the mineral colorway.
Orion ornamental iron, inc. The 3D Drapery Hardware positions the finial in front of the rod. It is well-suited to tight areas in which conventional rod finials don’t fit. Iron U-bends extend from both ends of the rod and curve around, placing the finials in front. Finials can also be manually adjusted to sit above or below the rod through set screws. Nearly all of Orion’s finials are available for use with its 3D system. The rods are 1 inch in diameter in either round hollow smooth or hammered styles. Available are 35 Iron Art™ finishes, five Italian finishes or custom finishes.
 

Softline Home Fashions Launches Line With Monica Pedersen In January 2014

Softline Home Fashions, leading distributor of ready-made curtains, decorative pillows and fabrics, announces a licensing agreement with HGTV celebrity, Monica Pedersen (shown). The launch of Monica Pedersen for Softline Make It Beautiful Collection is slated for January 2014 at the Las Vegas Market in the World Market Center.

Pedersen’s designs and tips have been featured in national publications. She is a contributing columnist to the Chicago Sun-Times “Daily Splash” column and published her first design book titled Make It Beautiful in May 2012.

Comfortex Launches Cordless Shades With Disney & Pixar Characters

The new Comfortex collection of Disney-themed roller and cellular shades features more than 200 designs, giving the young and the young at heart an easy and fun way to cover windows. The new Disney Collection includes iconic designs, such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Disney Princess characters and Disney Fairies characters, as well as new classics characters from Disney•Pixar movies, such as Toy Story, Cars, and Monsters, Inc.

Saturday Knight Ltd. The Madden Window Collection features updated juvenile microfiber window panels adorned with faux metal studs that create an on-trend zigzag pattern. The panels are offered in aqua (shown), black and white.
 

Introductions & Updates from Lorraine Home Fashions

Lorraine Home Fashions plans to introduce an array of new products during N.Y. Home Fashions Market. Here are highlights:

New Panels

  • Three deluxe woven jacquards, including a floral and two geometrics, one of which is lined, and all with grommets.
  • Two new embroideries on sheer and faux silk ground fabrics with rod-pocket tops. A pair of new prints on faux linen and poly duck, both with grommets.
  • Two versions of a horizontal woven stripe in a poly/linen blend, both with grommets.
  • A faux silk rod pocket program with dramatic jacquard appliquéd banding.
  • A semi-sheer rod pocket program with a tie-up shade, tie-up valance and coordinating tiers in a number of solid colors to match a watercolor floral pattern.
  • An elegant, unique geometric/floral lace with a rod pocket made with different gauge yarns for depth and texture.
  • The successful assortment of dramatic ruffled panels will also grow to include a rich vertical ruffled rod pocket panel.
  • A classic pair panel program with ruffled eyelet trim will coordinate with ruffled tiers, valances and swags.
  • The Reverie snow voile program will expand with several new colors.
